Mission:To broaden awareness of and to increase participation in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines by underrepresented populations to meet the needs of a globally competitive workforce.

Professional Societies

Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) is a non-profit organization founded in 1971. The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is:

• to encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and
• to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.

Mathematical Association of America (MAA): The Mathematical Association of America is the largest professional society that focuses on mathematics accessible at the undergraduate level. Our members include college and university faculty; mathematical scientists, industry, and government; graduate and undergraduate students; teachers; and others in fields related to mathematics. We invite all who are interested in the mathematical sciences, including pure and applied mathematics, statistics, operations research and computer science, to enjoy and benefit from our programs, publications, and resources.

American Statistical Association (ASA) is a scientific and educational society founded in 1839 with the following mission: To promote excellence in the application of statistical science across the wealth of human endeavor. ASA Fellows, Awards, Research Fellowships/Grants, Careers, Education.

American Chemical Society: Education, Careers.

Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education (CAUSE): A national organization whose mission is to support and advance undergraduate statistics education, in four target areas: resources, professional development, outreach, and research.
